My name is [name removed], I have been living here at the Arbors at Hauppauge for 6 months. I thought i would have no friends, especially since an accent, i have so many friends now. I have even met someone from my county, and we talk everyday. The staff is wonderful, food is great. I have so many activities to do. When i was home all i did watch tv. This is truly my home.

Hello- My mother in law has been at The Arbors of Westbury about 2.5 months now. We are very happy with The Arbors. Everyone who has visited her comments how much better she looks and how much more engaging she is. At 89 years old we weren't sure how much improvement we would see. But we did. And we are so thankful. Everyone at The Arbors is also so friendly and welcoming. I especially also want to thank [name removed]. She made our journey so easy. She was so easy to talk to and fully understood what we were going through as a family. Thank you again

We have had the best experience at the Arbors. Our mother was depressed and not interacting. Now she is involved playing bingo and trivia games. Her smile is back.

I had called A Place for Mom on several occasions. Each time I was able to speak with a kind, compassionate person who listened to my dilemma and was able to guide me toward alternatives suited to my loved ones needs and personal circumstances. Ultimately with their guidance a perfect place was found for my mother who could no longer live in a healthy safe manner in her own home without a moderate and respectful level of care. While the transition to this change in lifestyle has had its challenges the caring professionals at The Arbors of Bohemia has left us with peace of mind and trust for my mothers care, well being and social enhancement in her life.

mom joined the Arbors Islandia East Family in March of 2019 her dementia progressed after she lost her husband of 62 years of marriage I visit her every 5 days or so every time I visit her she seems to be happy.. she has her bad days but for the most part she seems good all the workers at the arbors are great she seems to love all the works plus the workers are great with her also she loves the food and all the actives they have I also go to there support group which meets the first wenesday of every month it is a great place it took me long but I know I made the correct choice

My dearest friend chose the Arbors of Bohemia as his moms residence for her final senior years and it was the best decision he ever made for her. Somewhat resistant to leave her home if 50 plus years the staff at the Arbors made it the most pleasant transition for her. They kept her somewhat busy during the day which was exactly what she needed since she was very good at isolating! The staff in all areas from management to housekeeping are truly amazing which shows because the facility is both immaculate and cheery ! Actually inviting fir all to visit . I witnessed the most loving and caring people attending to all the residents needs on an everyday basis and It’s was always done with a positive attitude. The help is always smiling and pleasant to everyone. If anyone in my family or anyone of my friend family are ever looking for an assisted living facility for their loved ones this is definitely the place to go. There are truly an amazing group of people !!!!!

Very happy with the arbors in Islandia. Staff is very helpful and price is much more affordable than the [removed].

The staff has been excellent in getting my father in law acclimated to his new surroundings. While this is a very trying time, everyone helps to get them adjusted. The room is spotless, and the meals are good!

The facility was very clean. They have a lot of activity options. [Name removed] answered all of my questions and gave me a tour of the facility. Everyone was friendly and happy.

My mother started her residency at Islandia East in [date removed]. It had taken about eight months before she stopped complaining about the food, hired help etc.. But now she refers to it as home and has made many friends. Suddenly the food is better and the hired help are wonderful! It is a great place, well maintained, clean and safe! I would recommend the Arbors to anyone!

Placing a loved one in assisted living is an extremely difficult decision. I toured Arbors West in Islandia, NY, a few years ago but my parents resisted and were not ready to move at that time. After my dad’s passing, I knew it was a necessity that my mom live in a safe friendly community where she would be well taken care of. I viewed the Arbors West again along with several other facilities. My instinct told me the Arbors was the correct choice. I observed a level of care there and felt it was something my mom would appreciate. My mom has been at the Arbors West a little over a year now and I feel secure and satisfied that she is safe and being well taken care of. The Arbors has daily activities, weekly trips and a full staff to entertain its residents. If you are trying to decide where to place a loved one, the Arbors West is the right choice.

Excellent cleaning and maintenance staff and very friendly. Excellent health and wellness center. Highly recommended!!!

A wonderful experience. [Name removed] was very knowledgeable and witty! The larger room here was a better fit for my Mom. Very interested in this campus.

After visiting several assisted living facilities I am so happy we choose my mother [name removed], to reside at The Arbors West. [Name removed] made the transition go very smoothly for us. Arbors meets my mother's needs in so many ways. She is well cared for, safe, clean and the food is terrific. She has been here for a year now and she tells me she can't imagine herself living anyplace else. It brings us great peace of mind that she is happy and content and is treated with kindness and respect. A special thanks to [name removed] who is right on top of things if I have a request or question. And to [name removed], the young woman who keeps my mother's room spotless. The staff has always been very accommodating to our needs and they keep things running effortlessly. I am grateful to each and everyone of them.

My mom has been a resident of Arbors West since [date removed]. At the time my mom was exhausted n heartbroken as my dad was put into a nursing home. From the time I spoke to [name removed] to the time we met, my mom n us, her family, are happy with the decision that mom would give it a try at Arbors West. From the front desk to the Wellness Center Staff, activities staff, dietary, everyone, has helped my mom at this time of transition in her life. When my Dad passed in January the staff once again were there to support her. She feels safe there, has friends, has become more active. The Arbors at Islandia East surpassed all of my mother's and my expectations. After visiting several Assistant Living Facilities, there was no question Islandia East was the perfect place. It is a very active community with an amazing staff. The staff is not only caring and attentive, but they constantly show how much they truly care and respect the residents. They treat every resident as their own family. Having my mother need full time assistance was difficult to accept, but after seeing how happy and how well she adjusted because of the wonderful staff and community, my fears were eliminated. My mother now tells me she is on a permanent vacation and loving it.
