Allay Senior Care

I have had my mother in 2 other facilities before bringing her to Allay. This was by far the best experience I have had. The administrator showed great empathy and skill in caring for my mother. Patients' needs are met and not ignored as at other facilities I have encountered. The staff to patient ratio is such that patients are very well cared for and not forgotten down some back hallway.

It was a wonderful experience for our aunt and all of our family. I would highly recommend it for everyone that needs it. Very clean and homey. It was definitely a happy and comfortable place for our aunt.

All the high marks are testaments to [name removed] the administrator. She goes above and beyond. A good example to her staff. Fewer residents there ( I think 16 is the max) = More tailored care. They keep facility clean. Very festive décor for the seasons/ holidays. Ideal place for resident that is not an exit seeker.

Allay Senior Care is top notch! First impressions are everything and let me just say WOW. As soon as you walk in you just feel at peace. It doesn’t smell like your typical facility it’s very clean and smells freshly cleaned every time you walk through the doors. My loved one always looks well put together and is genuinely happy. The staff is absolutely amazing and the administrator is beyond accommodating not just for my loved one, but for the family as well. Don’t let the size fool you it’s big in the most meaningful ways.

The staff and management are very friendly and genuinely concerned about giving the best care to their residents. I clicked with the owner and my mother-in-law loved the place.

Almost 8 years ago I was sitting in my car with tears running down my cheeks. It became obvious that Dad was not going to survive his surgery and Mom couldn’t be left home alone. I thought I had dialed a nursing home in Boardman to set up a visit, but it was a place for Mom. They gave me two names with openings so I called the first name. I scheduled an appointment for the next day and went with some siblings to see the place. We all immediately felt that we had truly found the BEST place for Mom. The place is just like a friendly neighborhood house. Mom has her own room and has been safe and secure from day 1. They keep a close watch on Mom as her memory has slowly faded away, but treat her with love and respect. No matter when I stop in for a visit they always know where Mom is how her day is going. I feel that Allay Senior Care is the perfect place for Mom. It is the next best thing than being at home.

We are so grateful to have found Allay for our mom. The staff is incredibly kind, patient, and attentive to our mom's needs, and they always make sure she feels comfortable and happy. The facility itself is well-maintained and comfortable with common areas for residents to gather and socialize. But what really sets Allay apart is the quality of care they provide. The staff works hard to create an environment where our mom gets what she needs to thrive. From medication management and personal care to meal preparation and social activities, everything is thoughtfully designed. We are so incredibly thankful to the staff at Allay and would recommend the facility to everyone.

While not as elaborate as several of the places I visited before placing my mother, it was clean the staff was friendly and caring, my mother had a friend who lived there (a big plus for her), and it was 60% of the cost of several of the other places. I'm sure that doing without manicured lawns, flower gardens, and such elaborate niceties, enables them to be much more reasonable in price. The cost per month is equal to my mother's retirement income, so that was a great fit for her. She has had a few medical problems which they addressed immediately by getting her medical attention and preventing the problems from getting worse. I'm satisfied that her level of care and status of her housing is more than satisfactory for her.

Our family ha an in person tur and the experience was wonderful, the lady who gave the tour was awesome. It was a little higher in price and a much smaller facility but we were able to go and see the kitchen area and different rooms which was nice.

This community is giving our family a night and day experience. The staff are wonderful, we were totally impressed right away and would highly recommend them to any families searching for a place for their loved ones. They are on top of everything from a health care standpoint to all the activities. They inform us on any changes regarding her health, we get constant updates. They keep her very clean and the community itself is very clean. They give great genuine one on one care to their residents. The meals are also all homemade.

They're excellent. I have no complaints. They go above and beyond. They even have cooking sessions with the residents where they make desserts together. They do crafts and all sorts of things. The staff are all very friendly. And they don't have a lot of residents, so the ones they do have they have a great rapport with. Everyone loves the girls who work there. I really love that it's a home-like setting. It doesn't feel like a hospital at all. Their kitchen has two tables set up there, and it's set up just like you were eating at home. The food is good, and everything is all home cooked. Its just a very homey environment. They don't like their residents to be stuck in their rooms for a prolonged period of time. So they do a lot of activities and like to have the residents out and socializing and interacting with each other as much as possible. Every Sunday is spa day, where they paint their fingernails and toenails. And then sometimes they take them in groups in the van to go to the beauty shop. When the weather is warm, they take them to Dairy Queen and pay for it. Or they'll go to the park. All the trips are accessible if you're in a wheelchair. They just have great activities all around. All this type of care is expensive, but I feel like their cost is more reasonable than most.

Our experience has been wonderful, it truly is a family friendly place. They keep us informed with every update and any concerns with our loved one. They are on top of everything, if there are any medical concerns they call us and the doctor. They are just taking such great care of our loved one, we have no complaints about Allay Senior Care we are lucky to have them. We are constantly amazing with the care they are showing the residents. They do activities every single day and keep our loved one active at all times. We have never encountered a more perfect place. They have bible studies every week which we think is incredibly important. They receive such high praise.

The owners and staff have been amazing. We know our Mom is safe and well cared for. Best decision for her safety and health.

Great home like feel! While Mom would rather be at home, we are sure this is the best place for Mom. Lots of activity and day trips.

Mom has been there now for 3 weeks. She is getting great care. Been on two outings and enjoyed them both. While she would rather be at home, this is the next best thing. Home like atmosphere with a private room. Staff are all nice and caring. Glad we found it!

They're wonderful. I think it's quite competetive with the marketplace and the care is good. I would recommend it. I like it because it's homey. There is a maximum of 20 patients and they're all about socializing. They take them out once a week for some even (shopping, the fair, out to eat) and they have in house activities regularly. They don't want them to just go to bed and sleep. The only thing I don't like is that it's a little bit far away but at least it doesn't look like a hospital. They have ramps and carpeting and it's clean - that's the first thing I noticed. It's a family business. The owner's mother lives there as well. My step father seems to like it there and they do day care as well!

looks like a home, country home 18 people includes everything except meds and depends -very active people guys talk, sit around talk about newspaper, very social big family, family style meals doctors visits - 35/per visit, if more than once every 3 months, then the Director will work out a payment 3 meals a day plus snack she's taking them to her house - big 4th july picnic, bbq, corn on the cob. -every monday bus comes to get them to go out and do an activity (park visits, DQ)

Our mother is residing in a semi-private room after breaking her hip. We are very pleased with this assisted living residence and the entire staff. They plan so many extras to keep the residents busy and treat them like family. The owners both work there and often bring their children who bring smiles to the residents. We are so pleased to be able to stop in and visit whenever or pick her up for appointments. Allays is like a home away from home. She is progressing so much faster there than she did at the rehabilitation center.

I'm Very glad the extended family has made life easier with and for Mom.

Just wanted to say something that says that the place & workers have improved greatly since it was taken over in January & they are trying very hard to improve the experience for the resident. Cleanliness: it's ok but they could definitely do better in the bathroom & with laundry ( Dad's blankets missing & other people clothes get mixed in with Dad's ). Not enough washable mats for bed available for patients that need them. Friendliness: Most staff are friendly and willing to help. The owner & manager is usually easily assessable & eager to help improve the living experience there. Con: Sometimes the workers are unsure who is suppose to do what but much improved since the last month. Meals: Quality has gotten a little better in the last month; the kitchen staff is wonderful. Con: Meals need to be a little more balanced; just my observation & since my Dad doesn't have teeth & they are aware, he still ends up with things I know he can't eat. Activities are lacking for my Dad. Maybe if just once a week they can have a sport night - highlighting a game on TV. I'm sure difficult to meet everyone's needs. Value for cost: You definitely can't beat it! Also thankful for great Med techs. Since there isn't any nursing staff, they are busy, friendly, but still professional.
