Be very specific w/the additional paid cna staff on what you need done. This was a new experience for us, and the Teal Ridge staff were great. We had to use the care givers that come in to oversee meds, etc....

I have no complaints about the tour I had received at this community for my mother. Everyone was very friendly and the staff gave us a lot of information about there facility. I just was not overly impressed with what they had to offer it was very average in my opinion. They did however offer a meal plan as well as an activity program for the residents throughout there week .

$4825. Unfurnished. Scott. 16 rooms, 8 occupied. Studio 320 sq ft. Drab, dark, boring. Low cost must be the attractant. New management last year...working on improving. Needs lots of freshening and painting. Not stimulating. Not enough residents for diverse socialization, most "checked out". 2/8 ratio. Pkgd meds. Possible fall disqualification. Physician for those who sign up with him. Laundry 1x per week. No extra charge for incontinence. My meals $5 extra. Staff could not answer a lot of my questions, some new CMAs did not know stuff. Think diapers provided. Lots of sleeping (in chairs) residents. Bad smell in hallway was big turnoff. All elderly, not for Holly. Won't be considered.

Poor quality care and assistance

We moved my Mom into Tealridge Assisted Living several months ago. Without the care of additional independent caregivers that we hired and paid for on our own, my Mom's health, safety and welfare would have been at grave risk. Mom suffers from dementia and is unable to care for herself. The care and assistance provided by Tealridge overall was subpar and varied wildely between aids and even more wildely on the weekends when no official employees are onsite to oversee operations. They have trouble consistently delivering meals to a number of residents, cleanliness is not a priority for the building or the residents. Some aids are rude and dismissive of the elderly people they are caring for, the Director of the facility is simply not trustworthy. I definitely DO NOT recommend.
