Our family had an in person tour and the owner [name removed] had a very impressive background, she seemed very skilled and seemed to have top notch credentials. However since it was more of a homey like setting and smaller it just was not going to work with our loved one.

We chose Avid Care Cottages because of the affordability and the location was also closer to family. This is a home that has been converted she is in the den of the house and it is split up so shes shares with another resident. I would say the rooms are adequate. The food here is all home-cooked and she has not had any complaints. It is an older home so it could definitely use some updates. Overall, I would recommend to others.

Smaller home environment - no private bath. Small front bedroom $3K back bedroom $3200. not many ambulatory people and many were incontinent. Lots of info given, [name removed] was helpful.

Met with Director last night. Quite honestly, there is no comparison between this home and Annie's Grace Memory Care. This home has not been updated and had the feel of a nursing home since the residents were all in wheelchairs in the common area with the TV on.

the room available was across the house from the bathroom and felt it was to far away.

The house is very old and out dated. This place just wants your money. The staff very un knowledgeable. The residents all look like zombies. They are not well taken care of. The owners are a couple who flirt in front of anyone which is very distasteful. State needs to shut this place down, the meals look like you’re serving toddlers. Kmarts and flies are everywhere. The place looks clean but that’s just a cover up. No activities get done whatsoever

If I could give this home a negative score I would. It wasn't just old it needed repairs. The furnishings were worn and old, [name removed] pointed out a chair in one of the rooms that needed to be gone because it was broken. While sitting at the table talking to us you could tell one of the residence soiled herself, my mother politely informed [name removed] of the matter as the lady attempted to get up and [name removed] let us know she does that often and often thinks she's going to work she would be fine. We were there approximately 10 minutes longer when a helper finally came and helped the lady out of the room. I will not be using Avid Care Cottages now or in the future for any of my loved ones.

Mom lived there almost a year-unhappy with different circumstances.

Had to wake the care-giver who was sleeping on the couch. She got another lady to come inside from the back yard to show me around & no one could give me info about prices . Didn't care to have Mom in such an environment. There were several people in rooms with no one watching them to see if they needed anything. The house itself was nice and appeared to be clean.

Not a good home took a tour, staff barely speak english. Had only two staff, whom sleeps at night. I also observed staff trying to stretch lunch. My mother will nit be attending
