A Banyan Residence

A Banyan Residence is top shelf. My mom is SO genuinely happy here. The facility is extremely clean and I describe it as a botanical garden. The staff are absolutely incredible. We had a bad experience at a previous facility and this experience is exactly what we were looking for to begin with. I think the big difference maker is that it is a family-run organization. The staff have been amazing and have really connected with my mom. I could not ask for more and I cannot even put into words how much I appreciate the staff here. I have nothing but positive things to say.

She is more alert and verbal. She is happier no that she is surrounded by caring people, outdoor views and activities and great food. I highly recommend this facility

I highly recommend this unique, safe, clean memory care resort. The Venice facility is all on one floor where residents walk straight out into the beautiful butterfly flower gardens, fish & waterfalls. My mother has been a resident for 9 months where she enjoys the activities going to weekly restaurant, scenic bus tours, playing bingo, exercise, movies, church, BBQ & mom's favorite Dunkin Donuts. [name removed]does a great job with all social events! [name removed] the owner/mgr has a wonderful staff who are just like him, genuinely caring, passionate, supportive & will go above & beyond like [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed]& others working hard together to assist my mother & all residents needs!! I can't say enough good things about the staff! The facility also has professionals, doctors, nurses practitioners, OT, PT and others come to see residents so they don't need to go to appts! I also want to thank [name removed] from Carefinder for her recommendation of A Banyan Resort! Very Happy!

A Banyan Residence gave us a magnificent tour, we absolutely loved it. My husband and I would most definitely move here ourselves. It does have a countryside location but stores are nearby. They offer a ton of amenities and the rooms are very spacious. We just did not feel personality wise that this was the best match for mom. You do have to walk outside to get places so it may be more suitable for those who are a little more independent.

My mother-in-law lives at beautiful community often and it is absolutely stunning! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and they have so many fun activities and entertainment going on all the time. The happy hour and corn hole games are a hit and really pulls in a crowd. The bistro and outdoor courtyards are a wonderful gathering place as well. The best part is that the residents are always saying how much they love living here and it's so heartwarming to see them having fun and making new friends. I highly recommend Banyan for anyone looking for a team that goes above and beyond while offering a luxurious, fun loving and caring environment that feels like home!

We chose A Banyan Residence because of the way the facility is laid out. Each room opens to the outdoors so there are no elevators or confusion. It is like a resort and we absolutely love it. The staff are very responsive and they seem to truly care about the residents. I would absolutely recommend them to others looking and already have.

This community was too expensive and was not set up for what my loved one could have handled for memory care.

Spoke with [name removed] for some time about Mother. He then gave me a tour of the gardens,a room set up as a single. All rooms have lock and key for residents, and doors exit to the gardens. He told me about the activities and I saw the dining area. I asked about the turnover of staff. He told me most of the staff has been there between 3 to 5 years. Some even longer. We returned to his office and talked a little about their fees and available services. He sent me an E-MAIL with several site to look at and share with my son in Georgia. He hoped that I liked their place so much that I would cancel the other tours planned.

This facility is very unique with it's spacious and beautiful fenced in courtyard. It is well worth the time to visit this facility to see if it is a fit for your loved one.

Our family agonized and researched for months over the decision about placing my wife [name removed] of 50 years in Memory Care. Eventually her unsafe and sometimes life-threatening behavior left us with no choice but to move forward. I can only thank God for somehow directing us to A Banyan Residence. The long dreaded transition turned out to be a simple and painless process. They (Banyan) knew EXACTLY how to handle their challenging mission. It was "all hands on deck" and their amazing staff focused and handled my wife's transition masterfully. The changes in [name removed], in less than 2 short weeks, have been nothing short of miraculous. She is smiling, engaging with others, attending the many well thought out activities and SHE IS SAFE! My whole family is now beginning to heal and we can finally breathe again. Please keep in mind we did extensive, in-depth research and I encourage any family going the immeasurable pain inflicted by Alzheimer/Dementia to strongly consider this beautiful and very family oriented care center.

My husband has lived at A Banyan Residence for 3 months. He was previously living in 2 different facilities. Neither was anywhere close to Banyan with regard to many factors: The facility is beautiful. There are 2 nice big courtyards. When a resident walks out of their room they are outside in one of the courtyards. There are many nice seating areas in the courtyards. Residents can enjoy the outdoors freely. The caregivers are all very friendly, professional, and provide excellent service to the residents. The dining rooms are attractive. The food is very good. If someone doesn’t want to eat in the dining room, the caregiver will deliver their meal directly to their room. In addition to several daily activities, the staff plans several activities and trips off the facility grounds, such as a scenic ride then a sweet treat. Or they go out to eat at a local restaurant , or go to a movie theater. There is a “senses” room that is darkened, provides calming scenery and music.

I do recommend it.

I would recommend this facility as they are caring, loving people that treat the residents like family. The place is a good fit for someone who loves the outdoor environment.

The home health agency that they contract with sucks. They are unresponsive, don't answer phone messages, and don't follow through on things that they say they will do when I have nailed them down. It's ridiculous. I think people need to consider the health care provided through the facility which is so important. It, unfortunately, didn't occur to me at the time.

Our family had an in person tour with A Banyan Residence community and we thought the entire tour experience with the community was really good

A Banyan Residence is a beautiful property. Great people. Several caregivers couldn't speak English. Not a place for a person that needs extra care. Otherwise I would recommend them. [name removed] really cares and some of the staff really care about the residents. I would give them a 4 star facility. The facility is excellent depending on the needs of your loved one

The employees are lovely and caring people. The place is very pretty, and we are happy with our choice.

My parents just love it here. Most everybody is pretty friendly. The care has been good, and the owner has been on top of things. If you tell him something, he takes care of it. You can always go to him if you have any problem of any kind. The cleaning woman is wonderful and keeps everything spic and span. The nicest thing about A Banyan Residence - and the reason why I chose it - is that instead of the rooms opening into a hallway, they open into a courtyard with a nice garden. There's a koi fish pond feature, and every time I go there to visit, I always see people meticulously caring for the garden. Every place has some room for improvement. Really the only thing I don't like is they have set meals every day, although they will give you something else if you ask. Overall the food is decent, but it could be better. Mostly it just needs more variety. I like that our family is welcome to sit down and eat with my parents, and they don't charge you. I don't know of any other place that does that - every other place we looked into charges you to stay for a meal.

I was very pleased with the tour experience we had with A Banyan Residence. If I were looking for myself it would have been a good fit, but it was just not the right fit for my mother.

The people were super nice. They had a nice dining room. The rooms were way too small. You had to walk outside, to get to the dining room but overall, the community was a good location.
