Indiana is a charming, Midwestern state located off the southern tip of Lake Michigan. Its nickname of “The Hoosier State” is one of the country’s oldest state nicknames, and although there are many theories as to where it came from, there is no definitive answer. What is known is that residents of the state embrace the “Hoosier” title with a strong sense of local pride. Indiana’s central location – just a short distance from Chicago and many other major cities of the Midwest – combined with the all-American appeal of its own cities like Indianapolis and Bloomington and its vast expanses of rural farmland, make Indiana a convenient place to live and a beautiful state to retire in.
Currently, A Place for Mom partners with more than 130 retirement communities in Indiana that offer independent living. The median monthly cost of independent living in Indiana is about $2,300.
Staff is very friendly. Residents express a good feeling. Activities Department is fabulous. I enjoy all of the outings. I go to all events that are offered. Some apartments could use a refresh maintenance...
It was a short but very good experience at Traditions, especially the Nursing Staff and Director of Nursing! The Director is really involved with residents and directly helped me with my aunt several times...
5 for all. What we like the most about Sycamore Reserve is the staff, the cleanliness of the facility and the apartment layout.
Definitely a 5: from the staff, everyone is so nice and are willing to help in any way possible. Issues are resolved quickly, reminders of upcoming activities and questions answered promptly. Huge variety of...
All good. My Mom is doing well with all positive experiences. I'm happy. I have and would recommend but the only down side is the expense but it is what it is.
We feel the staff at Independence Village really cares about our dad. Additionally, they work very well with hospice. We are very glad we chose Independence Village.
Dining is excellent. Free continental breakfast M-Sat. Activities are excellent. Lots to do or not do at your pleasure. Staff members are excellent. Always friendly and willing to help.
I made the right decision to come here. I have heard so many nice things and I feel its all true. Everyone is so nice. I love it.
Everyone is professional, patient and kind especially the nurses. The Villa is well kept also. We truly don't have any complaints and would suggest this place for others who are looking for a home.
My dad has been at Storypoint for 3 1/2 years. The staff are amazing! They genuinely care for the residents, I know making a hard decision he best decision our family made.
Unsure about the meals and dining - haven't eaten there yet. I do like the kind staff. Yes, I would recommend Park Place to other families based on the experience so far.
Mom likes her room and the people, but has some complaints. The food isn't as good as it was when she first moved in. And they are a bit under staffed, so that adds to the waiting when she hits her aid...
