Thies and Talle Management

Everyone here is very friendly. The building and the grounds are nicely kept as well. There are various activities offered but I've not personally participated.

Mom and I have the 2 bed 2 bath in the all ages building. It fits our needs. The residents are friendly and the staff have been wonderful!!

I enjoy being here. The manager is very nice. I have no issues with garden court at all. I picked this community because it's close to my daughter.

Location and affordability stood out to me about this facility. They also have a personal massage therapist. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Wonderful Community & Apts., but I need something that a Senior can afford, that's only getting SSDI Monthly, if they would accept Subsidsized Housing for Seniors that would be excellent or if the Apts., were just cheaper, it would an excellent move for me, cuz I would be nice & close to my children & Grandchildren, but I can't afford that on $1005.00 a month is what I receive from SSDI. Thank You Very Much.

This is a lovely community, and I'am very pleased with move here. Everything is working out very well, and I'am happy at this community. They have a very nice staff, and they are very polite, and courteous. They do a great job with keeping the community, and the grounds well-kept. I would highly recommend this community, I'am doing very well with my move here.

Seems to be a really nice place.

We started out looking at senior independent living apartments and ended up in a standard apartment. Plan was to relocate to the Twin Cities, secure living arrangements and possibly continue to look at our leisure at other facilities. We plan to spend many summer days at our cabin and extend our winter vacation in Mexico. Our current place (Plymouth Ponds which is owned and managed by Thies & Talle) has been totally remodeled and is spacious and rental rates seems to be competitive. We were referred to Plymouth Ponds by Amy Thornton of A Place for Mom and her follow up has been great.

[Removed] is wonderful and so helpful here at Sterling Ponds. She has been more than accommodating. The apartment is spacious and was very clean at move in.

Out of price range

Offers a lot with large apts. Unclear if it is smoke free but up toward White Bear Lake, a bit too far out of the metro area for me.

Looks very nice but still outside the metroplex for me at this time.

Fabulous facility with everything BUT too far out from metroplex for me at this time. Want to experience city life after a life time in small towns.

There aren't any concerns. They are just a 55 and over community, there aren't any services they do for seniors. There is no next step up, or memory care. There are very limited activities, set up by the residents, coffee hour, or potlucks, things like that. The complex is clean, and the one thing we were surprised about is that they allow smoking in the rooms, so every once in a while you can smell it in the hallways. Other than that, they were pretty good about fixing anything we noticed and mentioned when we did the initial walk through, pretty much within a week. I think it's a pretty good value for what you get.

we toured on Tues 7/8 with Pam McDeid, Manager. At this time she had a 1-BR coming available in September; expected rent was $1065/mth; pets extra. She explained the leasing policy, ammenities, and other features of the area. They planned to renovate the apartment before Sept, which would help remove the smoke smell. Generally we liked the apartment and facility. The rent was above our budget. Our main concern was the distance to our daughter's home, which took us over 20 minutes to drive.

We found the townhouse quite small, but it would be easy to clean. The rent each month was very affordable and the heat and utilities are not that high. It is not a senior living facility, just rental townhomes. I liked the fact that the Mayo Health System was close by and that is where I doctor now. The townhomes are clustered so that there are courtyards for some of the homes and small paved areas for others. I liked the place very much except for the smallness of the townhome. It is a matter of getting used to such a small space after living in a 3 bedroom, two storey home for 45 years.

Nice place. A place I will look at again. No balcony.

My Dad was interested in this place however the rent was not within his budget.
