The staff took great care of my mom even when she was grumpy. They seemed to love her like she was part of the family. I think all assisted living centers are over priced. They should do a price depending on...

Everyone was very friendly and helpful here, but we were not overly impressed with the facility itself. It is an older building, and everything feels outdated. The memory care unit felt very confined.

We never saw any activities going on and they lacked on soooo many levels. Most of the worker are nice but not enough of them and I'm sure they are under paid. Sorry, I really have not had a good experience there.

A close family friend is here. The pro of this placement is the activities. The activity department is proactive, compassionate, and always looking to get people involved. However, the health services department struggles significantly. They struggle to comply with the care plans and provide proper care. The CNAs claim they are understaffed or too overwhelmed when asked why multiple showers in a week are missed. Their supervisor is even less helpful when asked. Recently we were told “I don’t know” when we inquired about why her staff neglected to shower the family friend for the past week, despite it being included in the care plan. This is not the first encounter, in fact the family hasn’t gone more than two weeks without showers being ignored and missed by the health service department. The main goal of assisted livings is to preserve quality of life and health, something this location clearly doesn’t value under the current leadership team.

I had to place my husband here and they assured me when placing him that they would be able to take care of his needs. There are inexperienced workers here and [Removed] the director is very immature about the way he handled situations. And with a job like his you can't be that way. They kept changing his meds and not telling me about it. One time he fell and I was never told. They never changed his clothing much he would look dirty and they never shaved him. He was losing weight too. At the end of the 1st month they said they couldn't handle him I think they thought he could do for himself but couldn't and it was to much work for them. But again they knew this when they accepted him.

Wow, The Lodged at Riverton management is the biggest secret villainy.I've seen preventable deaths, temporary workers stealing from residents' rooms, and denying medications. One worker for the whole building, no medi techs, disgusting meals from the freezer without a diet. I saw the air/hear broken for at least four to two months. Nothing to ease pain. Replacement of a washing machine and dryer took months. Human feces ruined the washer and dryer. Management replies, You clean it up." Rooms went months without cleaning. Complaints were ignored. Another, the sewer backed up into several rooms. The director said, "You clean it up; it is your apartment." One was a 97-year-old woman with a broken arm. The gull is they raised rent here, and the state has visited more times than one can count. The lodge almost closed down. But the owners hired new managers. Nothing improved, only worse. Went through 4 directors in under a year. HUMMM OWNERS, get a clue; it's your greed and lack of care.

When new management took over the care of my parents went down. My parents were seriously neglected, even though I talked with Manager several times. I would tell anyone thinking about putting their loved ones there to stay away.

There were any promises when moved in. Not one has been kept. Residents are not treated with respect and dignity. Care is virtually non -existent. Have waited as much as 2 hours for call light to be answered, and many times they don't come at all. Many things in building broken down constantly. Finally, Director is mean , cruel, and uncaring to the residents.

My loved one was a resident here and overall it was a terrible experience. They would run out of food and never gave him treats. They also fed their Assisted Living building before the Memory Care and would leave Memory Care without breakfast sometimes until later than 9 am. My dad lost so much weight here and was miserable the entire time. Some of the staff were friendly, but we ultimately moved him to a different facility.

Horrible experience at this facility. I will not give details because it was so bad that if I were to give details they would not be allowed. My loved one was there for assisted living. That care was not provided.

This place is dreadful. My relative was left in a dirty diaper all day, with no bed changes. They ignore the residents, serve terrible food, and serve tuna sandwiches for Christmas dinner. Their honest ad should read : We neglect, lock in rooms, clean pads once a day, loose meds magically, young kids who call themselves medicine workers, trained on the job with no nurse to oversee, heartless manager, lazy workers who hide in show rooms instead of checking on residence, employees swear and argue with residents, can't go out and enjoy the courtyard due to smokers by the door, 911 there all the time, people don't get showers, once a week if lucky. They can't keep good workers, employees hate their jobs, drugs and alcohol smuggled in through supposedly secured guarded coded doors, was reported by witnesses, but nothing done. Over the last two months, I've compiled a list. I have 65 horrifying complaints and have personally witnessed so many horrific acts; flee!

This location switched their manager again. What are you thinking? The new manager in Jan/2019 was awesome. Why in the world you take a manager who was making positive changes, changed attitude towards this center, loved the patrons and made employees happy to be there and replace with a manager that only cares about $ and budget cuts make changes is a negative direction again. WHY? This is beyond my understanding.

This place was horrible! The food was always cold, burnt, or late. Call light sometimes took 2 hours to be answered. Low staffed always!!!!!! the staff run all the time, because it may be only 2 people there in the evening total. The rugs never get cleaned, nor the bathrooms. My mom wanted to stay close to home so we did not move her. But she suffered greatly for it and so did we. The place had 3 ED's in one year. No one wants to stay! I would never recommend Elk Meadows, its worth the drive to find a quality facility that can pass a state survey.

I have been visiting this place for a few months and despite me addressing my concerns to the “owner” nothing has changed. They are so sparsely staffed that many many residents don’t get the care they need. They only have the bare minimum equipment and so only one staff member has the pager reciever that goes off when the patient pushes their call button and they don’t have anyway of communicating to the other cna that a patient needs assistance. There for the pages often go unanswered. They have a resident there who is causing some issues and they will not address them which has been very frustrating. We can smell urine throughout the building because of it. Our main issue is the staffing. It is a large building and [name removed] will not schedule more then 2 cnas a shift. The cnas they do have are fantastic but they are just stretched so thin that they can not provide the care that we pay a lot of money for.

I would never put a loved one in this facility. We had to move my mother because of an incident with a CNA. The director is totally clueless as to what goes on there. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The Lodges at Riverton is a horrible place. The only staff there are CNAs and they are overworked. There was an incident with a resident that was sleeping and needed to take her medication so they just dropped it in her mouth. They refuse to accommodate the residents with their dietary needs. It is a poorly managed new community. I would not recommend anyone to this community.
