An excellent option

A very nice community with a caring staff, and good activities for those who desire them. I would typically give them a full five stars however it is a bit hard to contact the front desk in the late evening after the daytime shift departs. Overall an excellent option for anyone seeking a good option for their loved one.

Our Experience

My loved one is a resident at Rocky Mountain Care Spring Hollow. Overall, I like that it is a small facility. If someone is looking for a smaller facility with more personal care, this would be a good choice. With cost, whatever care level you are at, all care including meds, is one price. On the weekends, they do usually have a skeleton crew. Sometimes the cleaning lady fills in as a cook. Her meals.... Like Mac and cheese mix and a bit of fruit or hot dogs and chips with some salad or fruit, compared to some other larger facilities, leave lots to be desired when costs are fairly close.

Overall a Good Place

They've been wonderful with with my loved one's care. I really appreciate the staff there - they've been really good to us and to all of their patients. They respond quickly if there are any issues that come up. And patient safety and wellbeing is a main priority to them. The only thing is the meals leave a little to be desired. Lunch is often just a sandwich and a bowl of soup, and I would prefer better, more well rounded meals.

Affordable Community

It's been pretty good. They are always nice, and work extra hard, considering that they are short staffed. They have a guitarist that comes in on Fridays. My loved one likes the food. The value for the money has been good, which was lower than other places. They have had change in management, we have been pleased, and they are improving. My loved one is comfortable, it's a smaller community, and they have enjoyed the company.

The manager that showed us around on our tour was helpful. It felt very homey. But it was a very old building that needed updating. It just wasn’t the right fit for my mom.

A good transition from independent care.

The facility is not full. They don't have that many people yet, which could be due to Covid. They seem to be a little short-staffed once in a while. Recently they had a Covid outbreak, but they took all the precautions and were extremely careful with everyone. And now they're fully open again. The doctor on call is very good to report back to me about what's going on. And she's very willing to tell me things. My parents are not quite as happy. But my dad has dementia and is very confused, and my mom is bedridden, so she's just unhappy not being able to get up and about. And she blames the place vs. her own health. It's just going to take some time for them to get adjusted. I personally think everyone is very nice and very friendly. It's a very clean and nice facility. The care is good overall. My mom is a little picky about the food and wishes there were more of a selection. But every time we've been there, they've had some type of activity going on. And we feel like we're getting a lot for what we pay.

I loved it and recommend it to anyone

I loved it and they were so good to my mom. I have nothing against them really. They had lots of activities. My mother has always been the one to be dressed up and go out. I thought she wouldnt want to go there. She realized it was nice not to be stressed with having to keep up with everyone else. She didnt have to get dressed up to go to dinner. She could be casual and relax.

genuinely care

The people there at Beehive Homes are very friendly and it is evident that they genuinely care. It has been a very positive experience overall. The only area I can think of to offer any suggestions would be this: There was a last minute change on which room mom was going to be going to, which was not a big deal except that it was a little confusing not knowing where we were going until the last minute.

Pros, cons

They were great at helping me get my dad into the facility and had it all set up for him when he arrived. They were available for phone calls when needed. Although at the end when he needed more care, it was hard to get as much care as we needed, even with hospice there to help. I was considering moving him, but he was so close to passing that I left him where he was. I think they were just short staffed. They were helpful in a general sense-- but as more care was needed, it was harder to get the help needed

Nice staff, but older facility

Everyone was very friendly and helpful here, but we were not overly impressed with the facility itself. It is an older building, and everything feels outdated. The memory care unit felt very confined.

Place described as butterflies and rainbows

CNA's are not trained property especially to give medication to resident. They have 0 clue what they are for or for what they even do for us residents hiring people who do not speak or understand English and when asked to help a resident they just throw their hands up room and a few residents have choked. Another resident asking for help to be pushed in her wheelchair and forced to walk and getting yelled at for asking for help.

Disappointed in health services

A close family friend is here. The pro of this placement is the activities. The activity department is proactive, compassionate, and always looking to get people involved. However, the health services department struggles significantly. They struggle to comply with the care plans and provide proper care. The CNAs claim they are understaffed or too overwhelmed when asked why multiple showers in a week are missed. Their supervisor is even less helpful when asked. Recently we were told “I don’t know” when we inquired about why her staff neglected to shower the family friend for the past week, despite it being included in the care plan. This is not the first encounter, in fact the family hasn’t gone more than two weeks without showers being ignored and missed by the health service department. The main goal of assisted livings is to preserve quality of life and health, something this location clearly doesn’t value under the current leadership team.

Horrible experience

I had to place my husband here and they assured me when placing him that they would be able to take care of his needs. There are inexperienced workers here and [Removed] the director is very immature about the way he handled situations. And with a job like his you can't be that way. They kept changing his meds and not telling me about it. One time he fell and I was never told. They never changed his clothing much he would look dirty and they never shaved him. He was losing weight too. At the end of the 1st month they said they couldn't handle him I think they thought he could do for himself but couldn't and it was to much work for them. But again they knew this when they accepted him.

The assisted living need to be

The administrator has run this facility into the grand, leaving many, many people left neglected and abused physically, psychological and emotional left to die. Mixed meds between patients overdoses leading to death. Blood pressure medications given wildly all days in wrong directions. Emotional oval persist here while hunger kills many this year alone. Very high physical abuse rate among resident. Physical and verbal abuse is day in

Review for Grove Creek Assisted Living

We're NOT happy with their care at all , if my mom was up to another move, we'd move her.... there is NO compassion for the elderly, and they rob the families in what they charge, and the services and care they provide, not just Grove Creek, many others, these places would be shut down if it was animals that were treated this way, it's criminal!
