Providence Management

We had a problem with the head nurse saying that one of the doctor's prescriptions was not needed, and she refused to pick it up. So I had to go by and pick it up myself. But the rest of the staff was great. Everything was clean. My only other problem was they didn't have any activities because the director had left and no one had filled her shoes.

They are really good to the residents at this community and are very qualified for the care that is provided to them. They recently just got a new activity director and are waiting for the changes. They have activities like bingo and then during the holidays they have crafts for the residents to do have a good time in the community. The staff really care for the residents.

My mother is happy here. My mother is in the memory care unit and they don't have many activities on that side, they seem to do more activities on the assisted living side. The staff are good with my loved one.

We enjoyed the tour that we had at this community. It was too far than I wanted. It was a very nice facility and was very nice all around. The staff were friendly and interacting with activities for the residents. It was very clean and very nicely decorated, it was a nice place to see and it was one of my choices but the distance was not going to be convenient for us.

Everything is working out quite well for my mother here at this community. It has been a good experience so far. The only issue I have had is the food. They need to improve the quality and portion sizes of the meals. Everybody has been wonderful, the staff is great. There are activities offered for the residents. They do a good job keeping the community the clean and tidy. I'am comfortable with the care they are providing her with. This is a community I would recommend.

My dad fell and they tried only one time to contact family and we did not know until our outside care giver showed up. The administrator called to let me know that she was not going to let the care giver come into the building. They did not like that the care giver told the family updates. It was very upsetting. I was very disappointed that they did not have enough activities and they did not encourage the residents to participate.

I would tell others to avoid sending anyone to Providence in Searcy. They advertise as Memory Care but definitely do not provide that level of care. They were by far the worst facility my mom was in during her time in care facilities. It was a horrible experience for her and for me as her caregiver. Absolute nightmare! In my opinion they have no business advertising themselves as a memory care facility. They are independent living and marginally assisted living at best.

It ought to be false advertising to be able to say that they provide three home cooked meals every day because I haven't seen three home cooked meals the whole time my mother has been there in the better part of a year some days she gets a sandwich without even any condiments, or any OFFERED. Some days she gets soup with NO sandwich and NO drink. Some days she gets toast for breakfast and that is ALL!!. This place is a joke and everything describing it is a lie. AND it is dirty & the majority of the medical staff is rude and lazy.

Staff is unkind and uncaring Residents sit in piss and feces for 30-45 min before they get help. When reaidents have a health issue the main boss [name removed] says they are faking. All residents leave breakfast lunch and dinner still hungry but CANT get more to eat. All staff sits in office all hours of day watching cameras rather than helping what staff members are working. When a patient i knew with dementia wondered into another residents room the staff laughed and the residents relative was very upset and they still laughed. I will never ever suggest anyone go to this facility.

Please shop around before settling a loved one in this facility.

Sadly, most recent reviews are from four years ago, rating it before it sold and began operating under new management. Do your homework before contracting with this facility. The old adage holds true here: You get what you pay for!

This facility is not as it seems. Ask many questions, at State, local, and onsite levels before putting a loved one here. It seems it was a much better option prior to its sale in 2018. If you love your family member and want to be part of their care, look for a different facility, one that is professionally run with RN oversight and CNA and/or LPN employees.
