Activities team rocks! This was a Big deal! [Name removed], "healed " Mom's AI cat! [Name removed], brought paint cart to cottage family and Resident painted together. [Name removed] sat and visited with a Resident and her family. [Name removed] sat with a Resident who was dozing in and out of sleep. None of this is in the promotional brochure; but this commitment to relationship is why I am glad my Mother is here.

Great place to live

I wanted to thank caregiver, [name removed] in cottage [removed] on [date removed] for making it possible for me to speak to my grandmother by letting her use her personal cell, as she was too tired to get to the stationary land line. Thanks for going above and beyond.

Wanted to thank the staff for taking such good care of my grandmother. She is a very special lady to us!

The facility was clean and the residents were all friendly. Unfortunately high-rise living did not feel like the right fit. In addition the there were no hand rails in the halls to help with balance issues, and the elevators felt small especially when shared with someone that had any sort of mobility device.

My Mother used to live here. The facility is newer looking, but once you get past the lobby it has a certain coldness to it. The hallways are long and don’t have railings so it’s like walking down a hotel corridor. Their food isn’t that great, in fact there were lots of complaints about it. But the people that worked there were very friendly and did a good job of trying to promote community. I think that was their best feature. The building has been remodeled a couple of times so the cleanliness was really good and looked nice. Ultimately my Mother’s needs changed and that’s why we moved her, but I would recommend this place to others.

My Mom has been here for about a month and a half and things seem to be going well enough. It’s been a bit of a transition, but the staff has been very patient and anytime I have any questions or concerns they’re able to address those in a good amount of time. There’s really good communication back and forth. The dining area always smells wonderful and the menu looks like it has some pretty good options. The facility will take the residents out once a week to do some site seeing or take them to the store and they have a monthly calendar filled with planned events that everyone can participate in.

Overall, Brookdale Springfield Briarwood is a good community. They do everything generally well. Some Personnel could use more training, Finances, billing, and invoicing could use more organization, and the food is just ok. Overall though, the activities there are great. My mother enjoys the card making and coloring, but they also have Arts, crafts, games, and live music. The facility is also very clean. Overall, I would recommend it to others.

This place does a great job, combined with close proximity to my house makes this a good fit. I can visit often, and respond to difficulties. I enjoy getting to know the care givers, management seems to have it together, and nursing has seen improvements. I am glad my mom is here

Staff handle problems well. Mom is being cared for well. Administrative staff is super helpful and caring. I wish we wouldn’t continue to lose so many of mom’s personal items. There are some communication and staffing issues due to high end turnover but overall when problems arise everyone is friendly and problem solving and supportive. Maintenance, beauty care, activities director are excellent as well.

My mother has lived here for almost 3 years. She has received excellent and caring care from staff.

I think these are some areas that could use some improvements, such as laundry and some of the care givers could stand to be a little more patient. But overall Pacifica is a good place for our loved ones to live.

My father in law lives her – they take good care of him – really like the “cottage” set up – caregivers are very good – nice to have same care givers / med aide especially as his memory is slipping – consistent care is best for him and the family. Keep up the good work.

Compassionate care given to my loved one. Small cottages provide safe, secure environment. Friendly staff, always kept informed of changes or progress of my loved one.

Great location! Love the concept of the different buildings on one campus. Great food too!
