Great care at Millenium

Although we only there a short time before her passing, the care was excellent. I base this on having my loved one in another care facility where the care was not adequate and was unable to deal with any situation out of the normal. The price is very comparable to other facilities but the care is much better. The staff were much better at handling any of the behavioral issues that come along with dementia and memory loss. The smaller group home population helps to personalize care. I would recommend this place to others. It was always clean, the meals were cooked on premise and there were many activities to keep attention focused. It is such a hard 'condition' to live with and to watch someone go through but I think Millennium Memory Care is a positive solution.

An amazing community!

My father has been here 3 weeks and what a difference! They really know how to handle and take care of their residents. They specialize in Alzheimer's and not many other communities know how to really handle it like them. It is a smaller place with only about 16 residents. It is warm and home-like. They have 2 male caregivers which are very helpful. My father went in not eating, taking or making, and he is now eating food, walking ith a walker and much more alert. I can not express ho happy I am with this community!

Wonderful place, just right for my mother-in-law.

This is a wonderful community. It is specifically for those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, and all the residents have some degree of memory care required. All the residents have their own bedrooms, which is nice. The meals are home-cooked, and there is an on-site activities director who keeps things lively. There are also on-site nurses. The grounds are beautiful, with fenced in yard and walking area, and outside BBQ. Really an amazing community.

Nothing Fancy but Effective

Millennium was quite a contrast from the facility we moved my dad out of, which was all smoke and mirrors when it came to the level of care. My dad was a difficult case from both a medical and behavior perspective, but Millennium was well equipped to handle that. It may seem like a small thing, but I was very impressed how much emphasis Millennium put on keeping the residents hydrated -- that's actually a pretty big deal and the previous facility paid no attention to that at all. Although the up-front cost, in terms of the community fee seemed exorbitantly high, Millennium's monthly cost was quite reasonable when compared to its competition (only comparatively speaking... in truth, none of them are even close to "reasonable"). I found that their staff was very responsive and engaging and moreover, they really seemed to know what they were doing.

Very nice place!

We're very pleased with how things have turned out at Millenium Memory Care! They've got a really great memory care program here. They've got a lot of activities all throughout the day, it seems like whenever I visit they're doing something! The staff is friendly and professional and they're taking great care of my loved one, he really seems to enjoy it here! Really the only issue we've had is that they've been a little slow in regards to getting his TV installed, it's been a few weeks since he has moved in. But overall it is a very nice place, and I highly recommend it!

Millennium Memory Care

My mother was generally taken care of. There were no activities to engage her. She was upset that she had no kosher food which is not the fault of the facility but I will say the food was not appealing. The weekend end staff was limited. There were new residents that invaded her space. Once she passed away I was deeply disturbed by how things were handled. Her belongings were thrown into a bag two days after she passed to make room for a new resident. I was not given access to the room anymore. Many of her belongings were missing, only some returned. No one would respond to my calls once she died. The main workers are good, the owners greedy

Care with improvements

This community was nice. The staff were nice and caring, but they are under staffed and need more care. The community does need some improvments with the management and also getting more staff. The community needs to work on the cleanliness. I would suggest that other families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

Concerns - I feel as if we were lied to.

I'm not too happy with them. I'll give it to them that the place is clean, and the food is good. The staff are lovely people - but they're just poorly trained. They advertise that they take care of difficult clientele, and they don't have the first clue how to do that. All they want to do is medicate. The first night my person was there, she objected to being showered, and two people grabbed her and dragged her into the shower. When I visited her the next day, she had big gouges on her arms. I made it very clear to them that would not happen again, and it hasn't since I addressed it with them.

Steer clear

Unfortunately, due to COVID we were not able to look inside the facility and see how clean the staff kept it. The staff was very friendly until they weren't. They were nice upfront because they wanted your money, once they got your money they were not friendly at all. They always lied about who the owners were. Because of the virus we weren't able to go in and see the activities they offered to the residents. We do know that the staff lost my aunts clothes, they also put my aunt in the wrong facility which we found out when we came to visit. They would also gave us wrong information all time. She was only there for nine days, and still made us pay for the full months rent. Even with getting a lawyer this community has still not given us our money back,
