[name removed] (manager) does a wonderful job and goes above and beyond for all residents by making sure they are all taken care of. This facility displays commitment, dedication, and truly cares. Definitely 5 Stars all around!

My family members used to live in a large assisted living facility, which we didn't have the best experience with. That was, until we found North Scottsdale Retreat. The difference is just astounding. The staff-resident ratio makes for more personalized care and better communication. Jessica is absolutely amazing! She works non-stop (I have received emails with updates at both 4am and 10pm from her). She not only cares for all her residents, but is on top of everything!!

The atmosphere is homie the caregivers are friendly everyone is well cared for happy welfare this is a lovely place for a loved one. Every time I am at this lovely home I am greeted with kindness and friendliness and it puts a smile on my face to see my elderly well cared for.

I looked at a lot of facilities and homes before I chose this one. The care and love they show my father is everything I could have hoped for, and more! The manager, [name removed], always is available via text or a phone call and very much makes the house feel like everyone is part of a big family!

My mother loves this place. I love the way they treat it like one big family they really make you feel included in everything it was hard, putting her in a home, but seeing how well she is doing at the retreat Im so happy I did so.

The North Scottsdale Retreat's staff and Manager has really made something that was so difficult to wade through while feeling at a loss for my dad since his memory has been slipping. I wanted to be his caregiver and learned from the experience and insight while my dad is at this home that I can relax and trust that he is being well cared for making my days with him far more enjoyable. I cannot express what a productive and experienced group of people have done in understanding and doing such a great job not only with my dad's needs but our family's needs at the same time.

My amazing 98-year-old grandma spent 7 months at Valencia. We and Grandma fell in love with a few of the caregivers, so this shout-out is to [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed]! Grandma (GG) wasn't easy but they all came around to her and got their "boops" on the nose and "pats" of appreciation. The caregivers are really what makes the place and these 3 ladies were exemplary in their care for our GG.

Since day one this place has been nothing but an inspiration for success for both Residents and employees I just want to say thank you for all your hospitality and being very understanding of any situation our daily lives throw at us

I just want to thank North Scottsdale retreat for their amazing care. They have give our grandma since she’s been there. The stuff is amazing. We see how they are with all the residents they treat them all like family Every time we go to visit it’s clean all the residents are up and dressed. You can tell they really care about their job and just how they run their house. It’s so amazing you could tell the residence really love it there and the staff have said it’s more than a job to them It’s like family and when you are there, you can tell it’s about family and not just a job to them all the staff there are amazing there isn’t even one to name out more than the other. They’re all just s.o amazing loving and caring. I would let people know about North Scottsdale. Their manager. [name removed] is amazing. I just want to say thank you to [name removed] and all her staff for being so amazing with their job. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

Caregivers are very nice. Food better than most places. We picked this community because it was closest to my home.

North Scottsdsle Retreat - is a very clean, warm, loving home. The staff are all very caring from the Manager-[name removed] to all of the caregivers. Everyone works very hard to meet all of the residents needs and requests. I highly recommend [name removed] to anyone looking to place their loved one in North Scottsdale.

There have been a lot of changes over the last 6 months and I have to say I was worried at first but with my dads dementia being as severe as it is I had to just wait things out. I have to give credit where credit is due. The Manager [name removed] has made a lot of promises from day one and has not let us down. The home has had turn over which was to be expected but the communication she gives is the best one could hope for. The caregivers that are there have been consistent for the most part now for a while and they know my dad really well. I am so happy with the whole group and couldnt of asked for anything more. So happy with the positive changes. It couldve been a nightmare.

Probably the hardest decision I have ever made was to place my dad in assisted living. The team at NSR now is a refreshing change. Caring, involved and good at what I imagine is a very difficult job. As the family member I really appreciate the care and communication I and my dad receive. Thanks to [name removed] and her team.

My mom has been a resident for over a year now. The current care team is fantastic! The home is immaculate and cheerful. [name removed] experience and knowledge of the senior care industry is really reflected in the management of the home. She engages with the residents and caregivers and it really makes all the difference! [name removed] compassion and understanding of the residents provides such an organized and peaceful environment. The other care team members engage the residents in conversation and ask questions so they have a real understanding of all of the different personalities. It’s a great feeling knowing that my mom feels safe and cared for! Great job Valencia care team!

I have the pleasure of frequenting this North Scottsdale care home nearly every week due to my job responsibilities. Upon stepping into this home, there is a sense of comfort and coziness, not only from the home itself but also from the warmth of the staff . The home is clean and tidy, and the residents are well taken care of and appear to have a very trusting and caring relationship with the staff. I highly recommend this residential care home and would certainly encourage those looking for this type of care for their loved one(s) to take a tour and to meet the wonderful staff and residents of North Scottsdale Retreat.

I recently met [name removed] the manager and her team on a recent visit to see a friend who lives at the Retreat. [name removed], [name removed] and 2 other staff members were very helpful and do a wonderful job taking care of my friend. I will definitely look at this place if I need help in the future.

I am truly grateful to the entire staff at MD Senior Living for taking such excellent care of my dad while showing true kindness, compassion, and respect giving my dad the best possible living environment where he feels safe and cared for and has made friends he cherishes. For my dad’s journey his cognitive ability fluctuates from high functioning to needing 24-hour care and the changes can happen daily and/or hourly. Finding him the right care that would allow him to be as independent as possible while still ensuring he was safe and well taken care for was paramount for his well being and happiness. Everyone at MD Senior Living has made him feel welcome. He loves the delicious, creative, and healthy meals, and I love how a health plan is in place to take care of his needs based on his ever-changing cognitive ability. We both are so thankful to have found dad a home that cares so much about his wants and needs in a positive, hopeful, and uplifting setting.

We sincerely appreciate and really blessed to have the heartfelt staff at MD Senior Living caring for Dad. It was a really difficult decision to place our Dad anywhere, however, Dad has really adjusted well, is comfortable and he gets lots of attention. The staff is really caring, positive, and shows genuinely warm professionalism with Dad and all the residents. I would strongly recommend this facility.

I moved my mom here after a horrible previous experience. The staff is amazing, attentive, dedicated, friendly and caring. The home and rooms are always clean and all of the meals are nutritious. Residents are well cared for and I have 100% peace of mind about the care my mom is receiving.

We placed mom in another home, after 6 months we were given 48 hours to move her. We visit Valencia on [date removed], they accepted her that day. We moved her in and from day one she is a different person. They took. her in as one of there own, the entire staff treat here with total respect. They pay games, have music, over all best place for elderly family. Glad the first home told us to move her.
