Legacy Retirement Communities

While I never considered a high-rise, I was very impressed with Legacy Village Sugarhouse. The rooms for memory care were larger and allowed TVs in the room. There are two dining rooms, so that when we bring others to Legacy, we can eat outside of memory care in the dining room which is on the assisted living side of the 5th floor. Twice a week there is an in-house UofU clinic in the facility, which means we can go to the doctor without leaving the building. The new UofU facility, which is a block away, is now open and has the geriatric unit in the building. There is a parking garage, which makes it so easy for us to come and visit mother, Also, the monthly rental is a flat fee, eliminating add-on charges.

After visiting other senior care facilities. my sister decided , Legacy House of Southern Hills, I want my sister "The best" We did visit all others in Vegas. I liked what I saw at Legacy, and most importantly , my sister loved "Legacy" and it was her choice. We thank all employees at "Legacy" [name removed]

I chose Legacy: lots of light in MCare, good staff training,FLAT MONTHLY RATE, location, covered parking, able to take Mother in wheelchair to shop without getting in car.

We made an appointment and met with [name removed] who was so welcoming and informative. She walked us through the process, answered all our questions, and gave us a tour. When we left, we felt so comfortable about the place and that all our questions had been answered.

I LOVED Legacy Retirement and I was so impressed with [name removed]. She was so gracious and accommodating. I also love the location of Legacy and the things they offer. I'm very interested in it, just have to work a few things out and am working on it. Thank you so much for your referral.

I have lived here at Legacy Retirement for over 11 years. I have a large family that comes to visit me often. They love having me live here as they don't have to worry about me. I have weekly housekeeping and i don't have to worry about preparing my own meals. I feel safe and well cared for.

I have lived here at Legacy Retirement for 8 years now. I have a beautiful apartment and I have loved living here. The other residents have become special friends and they add a feeling of caring for others. The menu offers well balanced meals and excellent variety. The management and staff are efficient and helpful.

Mom has resided at Legacy House for one year now. She is always commenting on the friendly and professional manner she is treated. Mom is actually quite independent for her 87 years. The only exception being is that she requires diabetic insulin injections which she is able to perform herself. I have been there several times when one of the friendly medical staff appears to remind her of her injection and monitor her sugar level. The facility is clean, they assist with housekeeping and are there to help in any way. They help getting her to her medical appointments, and little errands as needed. Our family is very appreciative and pleased!

I took a tour of this community and was absolutely flabbergasted at how beautiful it was. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I was looking for a place for my Mom who lives back East as she may move here soon and was completely wowed by Legacy House. They are definitely at the top of my list once we make the decision to move forward with the move.

Hello all of you trying to find a truly safe, caring, respectful place for your parent. I would love to move in! My story: I live out of State and spent many hours reviewing and visiting Assisted Living Housing. It is amazing to me how some of these other places get these ratings for the same or higher costs! First off, Legacy House is beautiful, clean and new. The hallways are wide and centered around the comforts for seniors! The people I have met and actually stay in touch with are spectacular. I honestly feel my Dad is even better off there than with me. I work and can not give him all that he gets at the Legacy House. He is getting exactly what they promised and MORE. Who knew they would try to drag him out of his room for all these fun events. They don't have to but they want him involved! He does say 'no' some of the time. The food is spectacular as they promised. When my Dad was not feeling well, stomach flu he got al the help he needed and I was in the picture not having to fly out. Of course, I would if need be. His room is as big as any of the others I saw and is much more open with high ceilings and fresh new paint. The maintenance staff worked with him to put towel racks and other items exactly where he needed them. They take you were you need to go AND you do not spend much time waiting. In a nut-shell, I am not sure sure why people are going elsewhere unless they have twice the amount of money to spend/mo. Having finally found a place for my mom who is about an hour away, I have seen my share of Assisted Living and Legacy is by far the gem among dull stones! I would go in a talk to [name removed]!!!

They have been very kind and good to be there for my mom with dementia. She’s not always courteous and kind, and is downright mean at times. But they consistently smile and are cheerful. Mom even mentions how nice they are. They make a huge effort to make sure she’s eating every meal, and if she doesn’t feel up to it, they gladly bring it to her. When she pushes her necklace button, they always respond promptly. I believe Legacy House is probably the best choice for my mom. I have been very impressed!

In the memory care center, they gave my mother AMAZING care right up until the end of her life. They were very detail oriented when it came to knowing what she needed. They loved her like she was family. We are so grateful for all the compassion and service that they rendered not only to my mother but to all of her family as well. Would highly recommend to anyone.

My husband and I have lived in Legacy Village for nearly a year, and absolutely love it. The staff do everything possible to assist residents and make their day enjoyable, and having everything under one roof (fitness centers, theater, dining rooms) is a great convenience. I particularly like the fitness and yoga classes, as well as jewelry-making. The residents are friendly and helpful toward each other, and Sugar House is a lovely walkable community!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They seem to know all their residents by name. They recognized Dad and called him by name the first week he was living there. Dad had an issue with his TV and we couldn’t get there to help him but after we called Legacy they sent a maintenance person up to take care of the problem. Every time we visit the staff recognizes us and are very friendly. When we have to go out if town we feel very comfortable knowing that Dad is so well taken care of.
