I’m so grateful to share that my dad is truly thriving in his new home at Pinehurst. From the very beginning, the community has been warm, welcoming, and supportive. The peaceful rural setting has been especially meaningful for him. From his apartment and private deck, he enjoys watching nature—often spotting deer and wild turkeys just beyond his door. It brings him so much joy. Housekeeping is included in the rent, which has also made daily living easier and more comfortable for him. Pinehurst offers an à la carte option for amenities (though there is currently a waitlist), along with covered garage parking with assigned spaces and private storage units. The apartments are pet-friendly (for his orange tabby Peanut), and residents are encouraged to personalize the space outside their doors, which adds to the strong sense of community and connection among neighbors. During a recent hospitalization, the staff went above and beyond by checking in on him and the facility provided meal vouchers for the days he missed meals in the restaurant-style dining room. That level of attentiveness and compassion meant so much to our family. The community also provides a wonderful variety of activities and opportunities for engagement, including outings, crafts, resident gatherings, trips, and access to an exercise room. Most importantly, Dad is happy, has made friends, and continues to do well independently. One feature I deeply appreciate is the progressive care model. Knowing that as his needs evolve he can remain within the same trusted organization and transition seamlessly to a higher level of care provides tremendous peace of mind. Moving him across state to a new area was not an easy decision, and I was understandably concerned about finding the right place for him to call home. Pinehurst has truly met—and exceeded—our expectations. Dad often says he would have moved sooner if he had known how much he would love it here.
Staff spend a lot of time on their phones. They have had off site trips which she enjoyed. We need a facility with nursing care also. We will move her when a spot opens. I would recommend this facility if the individual is able to interact well with others.

My loved one was previously a resident at Pinehurst, Episcopal SeniorLife Communities and her stay was a good one. I can't say enough nice things about this facility. My loved one really liked it there and I did, too. Based on the experience, I would recommend Pinehurst to others as an option for Independent Living.

We love everything about Seabury Woods, the location is very convenient for our family and it is just the perfect size and fit. Everybody is friendly there, we really like it. The apartments are large, spacious and well laid out. She loves the bingo and really likes the meals. Based on our experience so far with Seabury Woods we would recommend them to other families.

It seemed that the staff worked against my wife in many ways. I had to go in and dress her every morning and evening because staff just ignored her. Their memory care doesn't handle FTD well.

This facility is all about Corporate Greed! They make promises they can’t keep! The new management there made my mother’s experience before she past as difficult as possible. Don’t trust what they say ! As it’s all about taking monies from the elderly and not giving them the dignity. There lease and contract agreements are not true. She signed a lease to which her lease would not increase for a year . Not true ! They upped the rent after 3 months . They make claims take your deposit. They have also lost some amazing people that were there they took the time to get to know the residents that’s not the case now. Customer service is awful / the lack of communication is not only unprofessional, but appalling at best. Please think twice when looking into this place. Looks great , talks the talk to take your monies.
