We chose Royal Park because a fellow nurse I knew did visits here and she was impressed with them. I did also like the fact that if care increases, they will still be able to care for him. He has a studio and is is a good size for what he needs. With covid they have not had as many activities provided as they normally do. His main complaint has been the food, he said it is a good menu but a lot of residents do not like the taste and said it is bland. The services have been affected due to some staffing shortages. The caregivers are extremely friendly and helpful. He has improved since being here. Overall, I would recommend them to others looking.

Moved our mom into assisted living 1/18. Since then management has changed at least 4 times! Overall the care staff are really good., except when they are short staffed, some of the assistance they are supposed to be providing doesn't happen. A lot of this I believe is due to the constant changing management staff. With this constant change we have had many issues when dealing with management. One will tell you one thing, the next tells you something totally different, the next something else. The care staff for the most part has been good with mom. She likes the meals. Has made new friends. Has become more social. She enjoys being there. I would have to say with the exception of the management, the overall experience we have had is positive.

I took a tour here. The facility looks, and feels, old. The hallways are narrow and have a general older feeling to them. Everybody was nice, though, and seemed to be interacting with the residents in a friendly manner. It’s a larger multi-story facility and everything is on the first floor; the walk down the hallways to the first floor could be potentially long because the building is spread out. Our feeling was that it would be easier to let yourself be isolated. However, they did offer the ability to roll over to Medicaid if a resident were to run out of money while living there.

A smaller community (47 units). Which we found to be a better "fit" for our mom. Very clean. Nice apartments. We were shown different options for our mom. [Removed] was very helpful, answered all our questions. She made our mom feel welcome and comfortable. Offered any assistance in getting the process started to moving mom in.

Good community, my loved one didn't care for the room. Overall not the right fit.

There's a difference between the sales pitch and actual care. I cannot stress enough to maintain control of physician orders vs facility interpretation. Administration and nursing initially dropped the ball which caused behaviors related to lack of medication. Care staff were compassionate and caring but most were not adequately trained or staffed in memory care. Granted, my MIL was a difficult case. Her end of life care was gentle and caring. Surprised at lack of cleanliness in a room with a pretty much non- mobile resident. Appreciated the open door welcome we received in spending time with her. They also looked out for the physical and emotional health of my FIL when he visited her.

We chose Fort Vancouver Assisted Living because they had availability and it was also affordable. The room sizes here are decent, perfect for her needs. The food that I have seen looks good. I would want others to know that whenever I call to pay my moms rent, no one ever calls me back like they say they will. So their communication is not good. I would recommend, but be aware of communication issues.

My father lived there [date removed]. Food was great! We ate there many times with him. There was a activity director that keep things lively. My MIL is currently there the past 3 yrs. Things have gone downhill quite a bit. No music, no wine downs and food is horrible! There is a new manager that just started. Corporate just visited and guess what. 3 great meals. Tonight they ran out of hamburgers and many residents went without dinner!! MIL does not like their fish because they don’t serve it with tarter sauce. One dry square of fish! Ran out of ketchup for a month! It’s the littte things! Stay Away!

This community was an adequate place but it was not what we were looking for for our loved one.

Do not to go there. The staff does not do anything to help the elderly, at least not my mom. Every time I did something to try to help her, the staff undid it. Like she couldn't reach call lights. They did not help her, feed her, nothing. She was a care level 5. I believe she starved and was dehydrated.

There was one staff person who was greeter, serving in the cafeteria and providing care. One person was waiting for help in the hall the entire time we were there. Not impressed.

Horrible place! The premises are old, needs remodeling, fresh paint, etc. The food is the worst I have ever had. I have filed a complaint with the State of Washington. This place should be shut down be the state

This community was not nice and we did not like it for our loved one, horrible. Cost was lower but it smelled and was just not it.

This is a horrible place!!! Please, I beg of you don't place your loved one in this abusive place. It's take about a day to realize that all that promised care does not happen and won't happen. I feel so sorry for residents there. I took my husband out after a week and a half. Please, please, don't go there.
