Eddy Senior Living

I continue to be pleased with the level of care and quality of life that my 91-year old mother has experienced at The Terrace for the last three years and the 15 years prior to that at Glen Eddy. There are many activities to keep residents physically and mentally engaged and all the residents I have seen are very friendly.

The staff goes the extra mile to help the seniors. Wide variety activities. There is something for everyone to do.

Beechwood is the only urban senior living community - right in the City of Troy. Proximate to the thriving culture of downtown - with unique shopping, Farmers’ Market, restaurants, arts center, Troy Public Library, Troy Music Hall, Russell Sage College and RPI. In addition to Beechwood-supplied transportation to appointments, there are two city bus stops for access to all Troy has to offer. The Eddy Memorial campus offers easy walking and enjoyment of lovely gardens - from shade gardens to flower terraces. During the Covid period, staff kept us virus-free, by following enhanced sanitizing protocols, ensuring that we were informed concerning risk management, and organizing an on-site clinic for Covid vaccinations. Moving to Beechwood was the best decision we could make. We have independence, congenial neighbors, access to so much in Troy & the surrounding Capital region. Yet we are free from property maintenance. We have freedom to pursue travel and other interests in retirement.

We chose Eddy Hawthorne Ridge because we felt like it was a community minded facility that really focused on the residents. The room sizes are very nice and spacious. The intake person was very good with us, she was helpful and great at letting us know what to expect. I would recommend them to others looking.

We chose Eddy Memory Care because they offered a trial respite stay so he could go for a couple weeks and see how he did. The room sizes here were adequate for what he needs. The staff members are always smiling and you can tell that they are genuinely happy. I would highly recommend to others looking.

Five plus stars across the board. The food is fantastic. The people who work there are so professional, and so awesome. It's just night and day different from where we came from before. We're paying the exact same amount that we paid before (with a discount even at the other place, so technically it was more expensive there) and we are getting SO MUCH MORE. Pricing is on par with other assisted living communities in the area as well. My loved one gets to choose what she eats daily. There's a variety of activities - movies, exercise, memory activities, there's just always something to do. The Glen's Covid policies are more reasonable as well. I can wear an N-95 mask and take my loved one to appointments without her having to quarantine when she comes back. I would highly recommend the Glen.

A little pricey but seemed to have great programs and really knew what they were doing

I have been here for 6 months from my first interview to see the apartment. I knew all the staff previously cared about each end every resident there body language says it all. From the person at the very top to the ones at the bottom all go way above and beyond what would be expected to keep us happy. They have high work ethics. The place is spotless and you never see any staff sitting.

Beverwyck staff is extremely conscious and proactive in keeping us safe during the virus, exercise programs are superb, varied and interesting. I like my apartment, the food, the staff and socialization. Residents are educated, interesting and communicative. The move was the right thing at the right time!

Beverwyck is a superb, friendly living community for older adults. The staff are excellent, always helpful, and the residents are all interesting people, many with ongoing community work and activities. Beverwyck provides its own broad array of activities, including exercise classes, speakers, outside interactivity, and transportation to community events. I am very happy here.

The size, the location and the staff are the reason Hawthorne Ridge is an outstanding community. Staff make the residents feel safe, secure and are always ready to listen to our concerns and ready to grant our wishes if all possible. I am a happy camper!

Excellent living

I have lived in this community for a few years now and I can't say enough good things about the staff and services. Especially during this pandemic.
