My mother was a resident at Twin Cedars for 5 years and I was very happy with the care she received. [Name removed] and staff were very attentive to my mother’s needs. I am grateful to have a great resource such as Twin Cedars in my community.

My aunt is living in the independent living portion of this community. So far everything is working out well, and I'am comfortable with her move here. This is a nice community with kind people. The staff is kind, and friendly. So far we have not had any problems with this community, and I would recommend it.

I would say this facility is really well suited for the elderly and allows them to feel at home. While the place remains old fashioned allowing a home like feel the staff really goes above and beyond to make the tenants feel welcomed, safe, and cared for. The only reason I can't give it five stars would be the fact that no place is perfect. According to my grandmother no other place would be acceptable. Cheers.

This is not like an institution it is much more home. The interior is comfortable and warm. The patients are treated like family and are treated with loving care. Your loved one will be safe and well cared for. My only complaint is there could be more activities.

Excellent tour. Very home like, and individualized care. The rural setting is great for a nature enthusiast. All inclusive pricing makes planning expenses more predictable. The young couple owners/directors are onsite and hands on for meeting each residents needs and interests.

The place is a good place for the ones we love, and they are very welcoming. I just think it could use a little makeover so that when we bring the loved ones there they do not feel like they are walking directly into a motel atmosphere. Just some new paint, new fixtures, updated look. I personally was a little nervous when we first got there, and was looking for the quality of care to outweigh the overall look. Which it did so we went with it. Doesn't have to be a fancy place to attract good beautiful people, just a little update :) Thank you for being so good to our loved ones... they deserve it.

For the most part staff is great, my room is always clean the food here is great. I'm not an activity person but socializing here is not to hard.

The facility is old and shows its' age. The room was way too hot with no individual room temperature control and the shower water temperature was tepid at best. The staff, however, was caring and supportive.

I toured this facility. Our tour guide was new and wasn't able to explain everything and answer all of our questions. It was clean and everyone seemed friendly. Ultimately, the set up wasn't ideal for my loved one anyway.

Doesn't care for the music played in the dinning rooms. He doesn't like being locked in. Maintenance is very good. People need to have fun!

Had an appointment for a set time, arrived and took a tour through certain areas of the home and skipped others. Appeared clean, well-lite and in okay shape.

This was the best of three places I toured. However it didn’t meet all my standards of cleanliness expected in a community. Also, there was not a lot of staff involvement and interaction with the residents. A lot of the residents looked blank and were sitting down. There didn’t seem to be a lot of stimulation for the residents. The community did offer some opportunities to go out, possible to Walmart. Colonial seemed bright in terms of lighting coming into the community.

My parent has been here for about a year and I'm not totally impressed. The office staff is very helpful, but the nursing staff don't usually want to be bothered to check on your parent for you, if your parent is in the independent part. The kitchen staff is more helpful! They are working on cleaning up and painting more. The pictures shown are the nicer rooms, so please be sure to see both independent and assisted care rooms! They do have a fair amount of activities for the residents but not quite enough for those who are still fairly mobile.

The staff I met during my tour was nice. I did get a slight scent from this community during our visit. The community was nice looking. I was not impressed with this community.

The building needs cleaned inside and outside. The inside needs scrubbed and the outside needs power washed. The general staff overall is exceptionally friendly. Quality of care is about average. Administrative staff. This is tough. Everyone is exceptional, except for the Finance/Business manager [name removed]. He is not a nice man at all. [name removed] who manages the kitchen does an exceptional job. [name removed] does a fantastic job with the activities. There are so many choices. [name removed] is exceptional. Value for the money .It is $[fee removed] a month...most places are much more. I would say. Overall. The facility needs cleaned both in the Inside and outside. It smells bad. The staff tries so hard. The food is delicious and the activities are endless.

After a tour I sent 2 friends in to tour. I wasn’t impressed and wanted a second and third opinion. A lot of men with mental health issues. CLEARLY On the tour their were staff all at once outside on the patio smoking. It was clearly marked no smoking. Cigarette butts just dumped out on the patio and smeared into the concrete and holes burned into the patio chairs and the extent of the language and profanity that was used was just a palling. The person giving the tour tried to quickly move us from the area and apologized for what we had heard. The cleaning lady that gave us the tour she said she was the cleaning supervisor and she had a child that worked in the kitchen. She also said with being the cleaning supervisor and Inspector she also works on the floor giving care when shortstaffed and she also cooks in the kitchen. The body odor coming off of her and her appearance and the smell coming from her hair she smelled of high urine end it wasn’t from cleaning up urine, it was her own. She tried to sell herself being the best employee in the facility. She said how much of a Christian woman she was but during the tour I could tell that she was filled with nothing but trouble and gossip not anything that you would want to share with a person coming for a tour for their loved one. She had negative things to say about almost everybody. She also shared that the administrator came from Welsh Mountain homes where he was wrongfully terminated for an inappropriate relationship with a fellow employee. She said that she does background checks her self when everybody that works there. She was HONKING her own horn. After careful consideration I sent to family friends and to act like they were visiting somebody because the room that they showed us was one of the only ones that were clean. Along the way they stop to visit other people and say hi from a church. Toilets and bathrooms and the rooms were absolutely disgusting two of the beds had sheets on that had holes in them. I would not recommend this place for your loved one because the staff was not friendly and when they smiled at you you could tell it was fake.
