Our family is forever grateful to Angel’s Garden. My mom arrived there after two months in the hospital, incredibly weak and on hospice. Under the amazing care of Mariana and her team, she made a miraculous...

Nice place, not the best fit for us

I think Angels Garden is a nice place, overall. The facility itself is beautiful, and the care staff is friendly and experienced. Unfortunately for us, it just didn't end up working out very well for our family. It was a difficult transition for my loved one, and the level of care didn't end up being quite high enough for her level of memory care needs and falling risk. It seems like it would be a very nice place for someone lower on the care needs scale, however.

was not a fit for us

Clean is the only nice thing I can say. updated [year removed]: The facility asked if this review was meant for them and yes it is. My mother was there [name removed] was her name. I felt taken advantage of financially. My mother had all of her faculties. She was very alert and aware of her surroundings. She told me everything that went on and she expressed to me that she felt the director was condescending and didn't really treat her with respect. Here are my issues that I have shared with anyone looking for a place for mom: 1. They insisted that she wear a pullup so that she would not wet their bed. Residents' rights and dignity Under federal laws like the 1987 Nursing Home Reform Law, patients in long-term care facilities have specific rights that protect their dignity and self-determination. Right to refuse: A mentally competent adult has the right to refuse any medical treatment, including the use of incontinence products. Forcing a brief on a continent adult is a violation of thei

Nice, but beware...

Be careful! My 91 year old father-in-law lived there until recently. Nice facility. Nice staff. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN ATTORNEY and get everything in writing. Even then, the written agreement we had was disregarded when they abruptly raised our rates $1,000 (the agreement said no more than $400). Trying to resolve this issue just had them talking in circles and acting like the written agreement didn't mean what it said it meant. Our attorney disagreed. It wasn't worth going to court over. We found another nice place for less money. Just beware...
