"Worst It's Ever Been"

The title is a quote from the Director of Assisted Living. This place has suffered a significant decline in the quality of service since my Dad moved in 5 years ago. The worst parts include the emergency call system not working (a constant problem over the past 5 years, that persists to this day) over worked poorly trained staff, persistent problems and mistakes with medications management, and worst of all is the management simply ignoring, lying or deflecting blame for these and other problems. Staff in all units seem very disgruntled with their management. Costs increase yearly like clockwork at a rate well over 3%, yet the number of staff declined starting before the Covid pandemic and has remained consistently lower than 5 years ago. So less staff, more burned out staff, more poorly trained staff who don't stay, all resulting in a lower quality of care while the price steadily increases. Their own Nursing Care staff advised against moving Dad in there. Avoid this place!

Dark and dingy, felt dirty. The whole place smelled. Loud noise in dining room. Seemed unkempt.
