Brookdale

About 3 1/2 years we moved our 90-year-old parents into Brookdale Assisted Living in Wayne, NJ. It was close to us so we could visit every day. They enjoyed making new friends, the entertainment, special events, and parties, dining (especially home made soup every lunch time) and of course BINGO. After we lost Dad, we moved Mom into the memory care unit in the same building. There we found exceptional caregiving. The girls treat the residents with patience, kindness, compassion, and they are always singing and making them laugh. I am very comfortable knowing I can go on vacation and Mom will be very well taken care of. It’s definitely a “ peace of mind”. [name removed] is in charge of the memory care, a perfect person for the job. Brookdale is run by two competent women, [name removed] and [name removed] who will cater to all your needs. At the front deck is a very welcoming woman named Lori who will assist you in any way she can. You should check this place out, it’s very attractive and clean.

The entire staff is the friendliest, politest and most efficient group I could have ever imagined. Any and every request has been handled with superb courteous professionalism. Seriously, I am not a person that hands out compliments unless they are truly deserved. I have never encountered a group of people so deserving of high praise.

Brookdale has been a great place for mom to make her home and remain at the shore. The staff is extremely helpful and communicates any concerns with the family. Knowing medical experts are on duty 24/7 has been a huge relief with parents in their 90's

The best we chose Brookdale because it felt like home. Bit the staff is really what makes it that way. Caring, kind, empathetic and always gave loving care to my husband. Thank you!

We chose Brookdale Wilmington because of the location, Admissions Mgr(she is no longer there now), care for patients with Dementia Very professional, friendly personnel. Only downfall is they are a VERY pricey facility.

We received a complete package and explanation of the entire program and when we had questions they were addressed immediately and complete. Having been Florida residents and moving back to Cape May NJ we needed to up-date estate documents and were given excellent suggestions on dealing with this issue. Brookdale also was very helpful in assisting us with the purchase of apartment contents and incidentals. I strongly recommend Brookdale.

I toured a lot of facilities for my mom before settling on Brookdale Wayne. There was a lot to compare. Brookdale Wayne may not be the fanciest place on the block, it’s certainly not the newest, something my family and I struggled with when making our decision. But the warmth and genuine care we received from everyone we just knew this was where mom belonged. It just felt right. We have not been disappointed once. The girls that care for my mom are exceptional. She’s always clean and dressed. She’s happy and engaged. It’s been a very positive experience. I’m confident that she’s safe and cared for which makes me happy but also content.

My dad has been here at Brookdale Ormond Beach West for 6 months now. They take very good care of him, and we are happy with this community and the safety it provides for him. They have fun events for families to get involved. The staff is very pleasant and interact with residents and family. We are happy to have found this community.

[name removed] was a great host and does a terrific job in sales. We had a wonderful time a family night tonight with great music, great food and more. Event took place on stormy night The spirit was like a hurricane party. So happy

Great Place to live my Dad tells me. When I come to visit him, staff is welcoming and friendly. Residents are nice and everyone says hello. Glad I moved my dad here from AZ.

Always a great experience with staff. Management and staff always have a smile and going above and beyond for our residents. Parties are great and so happy to share these news with our whole family and friends.

All of the services are exceptional. The staff is very communicative and attentive. I would say that I am very pleased. I don't have anything to compare it to, but I am satisfied with the care my folks are getting. The staff members have been with Brookdale a long time. I think it is probably a Pretty good place to work.

The friendliness of the staff and care services gets a 5+. [name removed], the director, is dedicated, hard working, compassionate, and kind and leads by example. Everyone from the folks who work at the desk, the servers and dining room staff with [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] at the helm, the activity directors, and all those in leadership positions (especially [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], etc) and the residents are so kind, caring, and knowledgeable! The maintenance crew and housekeeping are great as well

The tour staff is lovely and apartments are clean and spacious. I love the indoor/outdoor space as well! It has a resort feel.

Staff are awesome and sweet; Highly recommend anyone move in loved ones, feels sister is well-cared for and staff are exceptionally kind. loving, patient, compassionate. All around a great place.

My mother is happy. Everything worked out great. I feel good about her being at Brookdale Salem.

This is an awesome facility! I would rate it a 5 in all areas! The staff is especially caring to the residents ( and family) during these difficult times. The administration is very clear and able to follow. Prompt info to residents' family when necessary. All the aides we have had contact with us have been both kind and understanding and helpful.

Can't review 'Activities', as he doesn't participate, but on the basis of the half dozen times or more that hubby and I have been there (both before moving him in, and visits since), solid 5's. [name removed] and [name removed] (Admin) are EXTREMELY receptive, very hands-on, and nice to deal with. Maintenance Staff ([name removed]) has been very helpful, and Staff overall appear to be great. Bro-in-law likes the food, and appears to have a positive attitude regarding Camelot. We live out of state, so can't be there all the time, but EVERY time we've called with a request or question, the response has been immediate.
